About Mayor Bob

I have established this web site to provide the residents of Bosque Farms information about the Governing Body and the actions that they have taken in the past. I have been a part of that, having been elected to the position of Village Councilor and served from 2004 to 2008. In 2012, I was elected Mayor and served one four year term. Prior to being elected to the Council, I served on the Planning & Zoning Commission for 4 years. I have 16 years of service to the Village of Bosque Farms. I am asking for your vote in the November 2023 election, I will work hard to support this Village, as I had done for over 16 years. I greatly appreciate your support.

A lot was accomplished by the Governing Body when I served as a Councilor and as Mayor, and I had a lot of involvement in this work. Some of these accomplishments are outlined in my Opinions & Accomplishments web page at: A Mayor's Opinions and Accomplishments There is still a lot to be done, especially with regard to compliance with the EPA's arsenic rule for drinking water, adding a second clarifier to our sewage treatment plant, economic development, support for youth programs, support for senior programs, and support for our Library, just to name a few things.

If you want to know about my background, please indulge me as I put forth a bit of self-promotion:

I thought I would share a little trivia with you. I was asked by a local Bosque Farms photographer, Chip Simons, to participate in a photo shoot a few years back. He was commissioned to take photos for the Bailey Hat Company for their catalog and web site. He had me pose in western attire to promote their western hats. Darned if they didn't use one of his photos for their promotional materials, both on-line and in their printed catalog!

Here's a copy:

Thanks, Chip!

In 2012 I started doing some background extras work on some movies and TV productions, and on one production was promoted to Principal Actor with a speaking role! Many times I end up on the cutting room floor!! So it goes in the film industry.  My credits include: Lone Ranger (movie), Sweetwater (movie, as a featured extra), The Sixth Gun (TV series pilot), A Million Ways to Die in the West (movie), Gunslingers (series on the American Heroes Channel, Tom Horn episode, where I play a cattle baron, Ora Haley, and have a minor speaking role), The Ridiculous Six (Netflix movie), Longmire (cable series),  Killer Women (TV series, episode 4), Jane Got a Gun (movie), Monsters of God (TV series pilot), The Kid (movie), The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (Netflix movie), Walker Independence (TV series), The Comeback Trail (movie), Surrounded (movie), and News of the World (movie, Principal Actor with a speaking role).  So play a variation on the Where's Waldo theme, and see if you can spot me in any of these films!

Here's a still-frame of me in Sweetwater with Ed Harris at the dinner table.

Another side note, I have been competing in mustache competitions.  I do this for fun.  I competed in the World Beard and Moustache Competition in Portland, OR in October 2014.  I placed 4th in the Imperial Mustache category.  I had a blast with the 300 hairy dudes that competed in 18 different categories!  Here’s a picture from the competition.

I have also been brewing beer for a number of years now.  I have entered some of my beers in various competitions and was pleasantly surprised to win quite a few Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for my brews, including best overall lager at the State Fair beer competition in 2016!  More fun stuff!
